Why we're building a pocket crop doctor

By the Agrosphere team · June 2026 · 2 min read

A sick leaf is a quiet emergency. Catch it in time and a few rupees of the right spray can save a season; miss it and a whole field can turn. The hard part has never been the treatment — it's noticing early and knowing exactly what to do, in time, where you are.

For most farmers, that knowledge lives somewhere out of reach: an agronomist who's hard to get to, advice written in a language that isn't yours, a forum thread you can't load because the field has no signal. We kept meeting growers who could describe a problem perfectly but had no fast, trustworthy way to confirm it and act.

So we set out to put a calm, expert second opinion in every pocket. Point your camera at a leaf and Agrosphere names the disease, scores the crop's health, and walks you through the fix — the right product, dose and timing. It speaks your language, and the core scan runs on your device, even with no connection, because that's exactly when you need it.

This is just the start. We'll use this space for plain-language crop guides, seasonal pest and weather notes, and honest updates on what's working (and what isn't) as we build.
