This Privacy Policy explains how Agrosphere ("we", "us", the "App"), operated by Harshwardhan Parganiha, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile app and website. By using Agrosphere, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, and (if you sign in by phone) your phone number, when you create an account.
Crop scan images — photos you take or upload to diagnose plant health.
Scan results & farm data — diagnoses, health scores, and the fields, crops and notes you add.
Location — your approximate or precise location, used to provide local weather and regional pest/disease alerts. You can control location access in your device settings.
Support messages — content you send us through in-app support.
Basic device & usage data — needed to operate the app reliably (e.g. app version, error logs).

2. How we use your information

To diagnose crop disease and generate treatment and prevention advice.
To provide weather, field management, the AI assistant, and regional alerts.
To maintain your account and respond to support requests.
To improve the accuracy and quality of our AI and the app.

3. AI processing

To diagnose plants and answer questions, your scan images and queries may be processed by AI services, including Google Gemini. Where possible, diagnosis runs on your device (offline) without sending the image anywhere. On-device translation of results is performed locally by Google ML Kit.

Important: AI diagnoses and recommendations are advisory and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not a substitute for professional agronomic advice. Always use your own judgement before applying chemicals or making farming decisions.

4. Services we use (sub-processors)

We rely on trusted third parties to run the app. Your data may be processed by:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage and hosting.
Google Gemini — AI diagnosis and the farming assistant.
Cloudinary — storage of crop scan images (mobile app).
PlantNet — plant species identification.
Open-Meteo — weather data (by location).

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only as needed to deliver their service.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Regional pest/disease alerts use only coarse, anonymised, aggregated location signals — no personal identity or exact location is shared with other users. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Data retention & your choices

We keep your data while your account is active.
You can delete your account at any time, which removes your personal data from our systems (subject to limited legal/backup retention).
You can turn off location and opt out of regional sharing in the app/device settings.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by access controls so that, in general, only you (and the app's administrator, for support and moderation) can access your data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

8. Children

Agrosphere is intended for farmers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
